Experience
As a native Russian speaker, I've translated for the US Army in areas of joint security between US and Russian soldiers, detainee operations, and document translation. I have also tutored adult students in Austin who had basic to basic to intermediate skill levels in Russian reading, writing, and speaking. My other tutoring experience has been in college-level Criminal Justice, English Composition, and US Government. I think I would do well with young children; reading books to them, holding conversations about different activities such as arts and crafts, and going to playgrounds and parks, school lessons and watching movies or children's shows. I can work with teens and adults as well, however my "style" tends to gravitate towards the child-level learning, since it's the basis of any language (learning vocabulary, putting sentences together, and making sure the grammar and tenses are correct).
