Experience
My experience as a French tutor comes from the fact that I was born in France and lived there until we moved to the U.S. when I was 13. I spend as much time as possible visiting my family in France, and keeping up with French culture and customs. Learning a new language can be difficult, and I take that into consideration while working with students who struggle understanding the concepts of a new language. I interact with the students by identifying what concepts they are struggling to master, and developing creative and fun ways to overcome their weaknesses. I believe children of any age can begin a fun journey of learning a new language, and have worked with students of all ages. Sharing my culture with students has become a passion of mine.I attended the University of Texas at Austin, and that knowledge, along with my French background, has made me a proficient tutor in several French-related areas, including French 1-4, French Language and Culture, and Languages. When I'm not helping students learn French, I spend time teaching it to my two daughters. I also enjoy catching up on reading, vacationing, and participating in triathlons.
